Structural Engineer (Structures)
Sidereus Space Dynamics is at the forefront of revolutionizing space access through its pioneering reusable single-stage launch vehicles, tailored for ultra-responsive orbital access.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our Aero-Structures Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of our spacecraft through the design, assembly, testing, and validation of structural components and systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design components for structural subsystems of spacecraft.
- Perform analytical and FEM analysis.
- Procurement and manufacturing feasibility assessment.
- Assembly and testing of structural components.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in Structural Engineering, including design, testing, and analysis of structural systems.
- Familiarity with structural testing methods, including load, stress, and vibration testing, and the ability to interpret and act on test results.
- Strong foundation in structural dynamics, material science, and engineering principles relevant to spacecraft design and operation.
- Proficiency in CAD and CAE tools for structural design and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential design and testing issues.
- Experience with spacecraft or aircraft structural systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the end-to-end development of structural elements, from conceptual design to prototype testing.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including kinematics, mechanics, and materials science.
- Preferable experience in design methodologies (FMEA)
- Experience with analytical and scientific programming (MATLAB, Excel) for data analysis and modeling.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as needed for the support of structural testing and launch operations.
What We Offer:
For this role, Sidereus Space Dynamics offers a starting salary range between €30,000 and €55,000, reflecting the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
